assisted living facility is

At the Orchard House, we focus on the holistic needs of the elder, not just their medical
needs. The people who live and work at Orchard House and their families collaborate to
create a routine that meets an elder's individual needs. If they wish, elders can can help cook,
assist with light housekeeping, gardening. etc. There is no predetermined routine, thus allowing
for residents' independence and the ability to pursue individual interests. Caregivers are able
to recognize subtle changes in the residents' condition quickly because we know them so well.
In this environment, elders thrive – they gain insight, and feel safe, cared for, and loved.

Jeryl Colby, director and owner, is a registered nurse with more than 34 years
experience, including 6 years serving Benzie, Manistee. Grand Traverse and
surrounding Michigan counties as a Munson Homecare and Hospice nurse.

Residents enjoy their privacy in spacious, one-bedroom apartments with full kitchens.
The long, covered front porch provides opportunity for fresh air, exercise, and
enjoying the beautiful gardens, which are alive with flowers, birds, and vegetables.
Meals are home-cooked from scratch using fresh local foods and eaten together in
the community room dining area.

Located just four miles from Frankfort, Michigan, five miles from Benzonia, and one
mile from beautiful Lake Michigan, this is a “must see” community that brings
together beautiful surroundings and excellent care by a loving experienced staff.
